The Active Living Alliance for Canadians with Disability's (ALACD) new Municipal Guide is designed to provide municipal recreation staff members the best practices to ensure people with disabilities are included in their programs and activities. This Guide starts off with best practices on creating an inclusive workplace, programming, and putting accessibility at the forefront.

The Municipal Guide will be fully launched in the fall. Accessible PDFs for each area of practice, as well as more information on training opportunities will be available at that time.

Development of the Municipal Guide was made possible with ALACD's funding partners Sport, Physical Activity & Recreation Council (SPARC) and the Government of Canada.
